Process: After gathering my typography doodles from History of Graphic Design class lecture notes, I organized the composition in a modular grid in Indesign. Revisiting the lecture slides, I traced the letterforms in the images using Adobe Illustrator and reversed the design before printing it out to use as a guide for the drawing fluid.
PASSION PROJECT
Description: Celebrating an array of letterforms selected from various points in graphic design history, this composition of typography makes reference to the New Haven Railroad logomark, a German Jugenstijl magazine, Scottish Nouveau and Bauhaus type, the Mother & Child logomark designed by Herb Lubalin, Tom Carnase, and Alan Peckolick.
